Wizards of Money

earlywithdrawal is hosting the podcast series Wizards of Money.

This series, which attempts to explain the financial system in easy-to-understand terms, is extremely difficult to find. The series was originally aired on Pacifica Radio. The series’ creator, who used the pseudonym ‘Smithy’ in order to protect her career, suddenly stopped communicating with the staff after the 22nd episode. Her website, wizardsofmoney.org, disappeared not long thereafter. All the sites which still host the audio and text have dead links. The single exception is the wayback machine.

Although the series was recorded in the early 2000s, it is sadly relevant today. It predicted the financial crisis of 2008 and the causes for the crisis still exist.
