This is de-evolution

The Guardian has a piece on modern dating.

Young people are dating less. One interviewee suggested this: women want to marry upward, as they always have. But as women become more professionally successful, their dating pool shrinks. The higher a woman reaches, the fewer men there are who are at or above her level. But because men are willing to marry down, she has much competition. By the time a professional woman is ready to get married, she is older, less available, and facing heavy competition.

Stupid and drunk women get pregnant; professionally competent women pay taxes to support them. This is de-evolution.

In the 18th and 19th century, the intelligent daughters of intelligent men were kept uneducated and were married off as teen-agers. That kept intelligence in the gene pool. Now we are about to be subsumed by an idiocracy that only the patriarchy could have saved us from.

I give up. This is not the right world for me.
